The governor was informed by the committee, which includes the Deputy Secretary of the General Authority for Rural Water, Engineer Ayman Al-Kaldi, the Director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of the Emergency Unit, Engineer Omar bin Khawar, and the Director General of the Environmental Emergency Management, Engineer Jamil Saeed in the Ministry, on the results of their visit to the districts affected by the hurricane and their assessment of the damages and losses that have been made. It has water projects in general, emphasizing that the local authority has done great and urgent efforts to restore services in various fields according to its capabilities, and that the situation is catastrophic beyond the capabilities of the county, and very much in need of rapid government intervention due to the extent of the destruction that has affected the infrastructure of water. fields, wells, stations, electricity, roads and communications. The meeting discussed the assessment of the damage resulting from the hurricane, and urgent interventions through the Emergency Unit of the Ministry of Water and support organizations through the Urban Cities Project due to their importance in recovering the disaster situation, especially the district of Haswain, which ; was most affected, in addition to coordinating collaborative efforts between the local authority, the Ministry and the supporting agencies, in a way that contributes to overcoming the disaster and developing resources.Solutions and providing the necessary support to achieve recovery and stability of water services.
For his part, the head of the Public Corporation for Water and Sanitation, engineer Ali Askar, praised the efforts of the local authority and its quick response to restore water services and bear the burdens to alleviate the suffering of citizens, noting that the committee went to all districts of Haswain, Al-Ghaydah, Hawf, Qishn, and Sayhut, and visited the affected water fields and projects, and made an inventory. Damage, along with an estimated cost and submitting it to the Minister of Water along with the required needs. He pointed out , that the water facilities, especially in Haswain, are completely destroyed, and efforts are being made to rehabilitate them.
