Mr. Hassan Manser Ghaithan, President of the Executive Body of the Local Leadership of the Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate, discussed today, Thursday, during his meeting with the Director General of the Youth and Sports Office in the governorate, Captain Ahmed Saleh Al – Rai, the coordination of joint work in sports activities and games between the Youth Office and the Youth and Sports Administration in the transition office of the county.
During his field visit to the Youth and Sports Office, in which he was accompanied by the Director of the Youth and Sports Department, Mr. Abdulraqeeb Al-Sunaidi, Ghaithan discussed some issues related to sports aspects and the importance of strengthening the role of the youth sector through sports and cultural activities and programs that are planned to be launched during the next period.
The meeting, which was attended by members of the National Assembly, Muhammad Al-Amoud and Nasser Atef, discussed the ongoing preparations and arrangements for the carnival festival, which the capital, Zanzibar, will witness together with our people’s celebrations on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of National Independence Day, November 30, and the preparations of the Youth and Sports Office in the county to participate in the success of the carnival activities.
Al-Rahi emphasized the zeal of the Youth and Sports Office to maintain an active participation in the commemoration of the national occasion through which we express our identity and culture, and how to instill the values of love and peace among the emerging generations.
In a related context, Professor Hassan Ghaithan, Captain Ahmed Saleh Al-Rai and the accompanying delegation visited Al-Shuhada Stadium in Zanzibar, the capital of the county, and saw the progress of preparations for the final stage after it was rehabilitated and planted with artificial turf at a total cost of 650 million riyals.
