The Permanent Representative of Yemen to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah Al-Saadi, discussed today with the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Yemen, David Gresley, the economic and humanitarian conditions and the zeal of the Presidential Command Council and the Yemeni government for achieve peace and to alleviate the human suffering caused by the terrorist war of the Houthi militia against the Yemenis.
Al-Saadi noted the important and exceptional efforts made by Mr. Gresley during his working period in Yemen and the achievements achieved, especially the implementation and completion of the first phase of the United Nations rescue plan related to the Safer oil tanker. and to avoid an economic, environmental and humanitarian disaster in Yemen and the countries of the region… underlining the importance of completing the United Nations plan. The United States is fully committed to bridging the financial gap to finish dealing with this important file.
For his part, Mr. Gresley reviewed the most important programs and projects that he and his team worked on during his mandate, and the importance of continuing cooperation to face the current challenges and ensure stability in Yemen.
