During the meeting, the governor reviewed a preliminary report on the damages and losses that affected roads, electricity, water, communications, and government and private facilities, complete and partial, in the districts of Al-Ghaydah and Haswain, and the work and efforts that were carried out to restore services, most notably electricity, water, opening roads, and others.
The governor expressed his appreciation for all the efforts made by the members of the committee, each in their field of specialization, as well as the security and military services, calling for more effort and work in the spirit of one team to serve the governor, its people and residents, directing to provide all forms of support and overcome all the difficulties facing the committee work in the field, according to Available skills that contribute to the stabilization of basic services for citizens, overcoming the effects of the hurricane, and completing the inventory report. in its final form in preparation for submitting it to the government for reconstruction and rehabilitation of services to recover from the disaster.
For his part, the General Secretary of the Local Council reviewed the initial report on the damages and losses as presented by the agencies and offices, together with the estimated cost, directing the remaining offices to submit detailed reports as quickly as possible. possible, while the members of the committee talked about the extent of the damage caused by the hurricane in the facilities attached to their offices.
The meeting also approved the formation of a commission headed by the Deputy Secretary for Technical Affairs and the membership of the directors of the Works and Water Offices, the Cleaning Fund, and the Director of Al-Ghaydah District, to work out the necessary solutions to pump . to release stagnant water in the capital of the county within a week to save the people from the spread of diseases and epidemics.
