On Monday, the General Administration of the Yemen Oil Company hosted an important meeting, which included His Excellency the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Saeed Suleiman Al-Shammasi, and His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Salem Bin Brik, dedicated to discussions on strengthening joint cooperation mechanisms between the Ministries of Oil and Minerals and Finance to increase oil revenue.

The meeting addressed a number of issues related to the work of the Ministries of Oil and Minerals and Finance, emphasizing the importance of improving communication and joint coordination between the Ministry of Oil and Minerals and its affiliated units and the Ministry of Finance through the formation and activation of joint accounting committees.
During the meeting, the Ministers of Oil, Minerals and Finance emphasized the importance of cooperation to increase income for various oil entities, due to the importance they represent in supporting the national economy with the exceptional circumstances that the country is experiencing.
Minister Al-Shammasi explained the efforts made by the Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals by implementing the reform program in the oil and gas sector to raise the level of the work efficiency of the units and double their development and investment efforts.
The Minister of Petroleum and Minerals also discussed the efforts made between various competent government agencies, according to the directives of the political leadership, to complete the requirements for the establishment of a sustainable support fund of derivatives of oil.
For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Salem Bin Brik, expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Finance to provide all the facilities and overcome obstacles for the success of the efforts of the Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals to raise the level of oil unit revenues due to the importance that they represent to the national economy.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Department of Financial Affairs of the Yemen Oil Company and the Director of the Financial Department of the Marib Branch.
