Mayon Organization for Human Rights has launched a call to advocate for Yemeni children who are victims of serious violations, on the occasion of International Children’s Day, which takes place on November 20 every year.
The organization invited human rights organizations, activists and journalists to participate in the media campaign, which will begin at nine in the evening tomorrow, Monday, November 20, 2023, on social networks.
Mayon explained in a statement, a copy of which was seen by Nashwan News, that the campaign “is to advocate for the children of Yemen, who have been subjected to grave violations for years.”
The head of the organization, Abdo Al-Hudhaifi, emphasized in a press statement the importance of participation in the campaign of leaders of organizations and civil society activists and the interaction of the media in the campaign coinciding with the celebration of the International Day of Children.
Al-Hudhaifi said Yemeni children, since the outbreak of the war, have been exposed to serious violations, especially recruitment and use as soldiers, and subjected to killing and maiming, as well as their lack of access to food and their inability to obtain health care and education in schools.
