Today, the Republic of Yemen participated in the meetings of the 18th session of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Water Ministers, held on the sidelines of the meetings of the 15th regular session of the Council of Ministers held in the Saudi capital , Riyadh, with a delegation led by the Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi.
The meeting discussed some issues on the agenda of the Executive Office and submitted to it from the meetings of the Technical Committee, and made the necessary recommendations on them so that the Ministerial Council takes appropriate decisions on them.
Our country’s delegation made many recommendations on Arab water issues, strengthening the negotiation skills of Arab countries on shared water resources with non-Arab countries, expanding the use of unconventional water, and cooperation between Arab, regional and international organizations, Arab, regional. and international financial institutions and civil society institutions.
The Fifth Arab Water Conference will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, while the meetings of the 15th regular session of the Council of Arab Water Ministers will be held next Thursday.
